Just Do What You Do

Anyway... to the rest of the readers my apologies for the shameless plug but it has to do with today's post.  And, the Prosperity Happens blog tends to rank well in the search engines so more than likely it will rank high for "Just Do What You Do" and we don't want to disappoint our Texas Longhorn football fans searching for this bracelet.

On with today's post:

University of Texas head football coach, Mac Brown, recently had these bracelets made for his team to remind his players to 'Just do what you do' and once again it was one of those messages that I needed to hear and apply to my own life.

In the game of life we all have our positions that we were assigned to play. We got our assignment from The Coach above before we even got here.  Once here we (humanity) have to collaboratively work together as a team.  It takes all of us to make the world go 'round.  It takes each and every one of us doing our most special job and playing our most important position.

It takes janitors and activists and landscapers and lawyers and teachers and bus drivers and engineers and artists and ranch hands and undertakers and movie stars and prison gaurds and lunchroom ladies and entrepreneurs and bums and engineers and port-o-potty cleaners... all working collaboratively together to make life happen.

Imagine...What would happen if one day every single airline pilot or truck driver or toilet paper manufacturer dissappeared off the planet forever?

What you do is vitally important to the world... even if all you can do is be a bum. The bum creates the activist who lobbies for better conditions or human rights who makes the politician proud which ingintes happy feelings for his wife and in her appreciation for her husband she creates a loving home for her family...

The bum creates warmth in the heart of the volunteer who ladels soup into his bowl at the shelter on a freezing night.  The bum brings appreciation to the person who is driving a car.  The bum grooving to his music and playing the air drums on his park bench every day puts a smile on the face of the girl who watches him through the window at lunchtime.  The toilet paper maker brings happiness to the.... (hee hee)

For some reason we fill ourselves with feelings of unworthiness because we didn't grow up to be the hot shot lawyer our father expected us to be or because we can't wear a bikini, much less a bathing suit even with a sarong, in public.

We put ourselves down because we're not where we pictured ourselves to be at 35 or 50... or we're 90 looking back at a life that we wished we would have lived differently....

Either way... you must remember...no matter where you're at in life you are playing your most special position on the team and you are having a wonderful impact on somebody's life (more like many-body's lives) whether you know it or not. You're making the world better by just being you and just doing what you do...

Which Way Do You Take at The Fork in the Road?

I know I've said this a zillion times but I just love those Abraham quotes that appear on the left-side of the Prosperity Happens blog every day.   Hardly a day goes by that the Abraham quote isn't just fantastic (or says exactly what I need to hear that day).

In today's quote he asks, "...as you stand at this juncture where you can fork in the direction of what you desire, or in the direction of what you do not want, which way are your thoughts taking you?..."   Read entire quote below.  It's just sooooo true.

He uses the example of ending starvation in the world but as you read it replace it with what's going on with you in that sentence.

"The question that we would put to you is, as you see starvation and you feel the hurt of it, and you launch a rocket of desire, wanting the world to be better, and as you stand at this juncture where you can fork in the direction of what you desire, or in the direction of what you do not want, which way are your thoughts taking you? Are you seeing the world better? Are you hoping better for them? Are you imagining governments getting organized? Are you acknowledging that the food exists, that the technology exists? Are you acknowledging that there is enough food for everyone? Are you wanting them to get it? Are you believing that it is possible? Or, are you beating the drum of the ineptness of the governments? Are you beating the drum of things going wrong? In other words, which fork are you taking, and which pathway are you helping chart for not only the future generations, but those that are living here now? You can tell by the way you feel whether you are adding significantly in a helpful way to those who are in need of help."  ~ Expressed by Abraham-Hicks

What is your motivation... is it coming from joy , excitment and love or is it coming from anger, fear, hate [fill in the blank]?   Do you see how the vibration of your energy can be so different depending on where you're coming from even though the goal is the same?

This statement:  "...as you stand at this juncture where you can fork in the direction of what you desire, or in the direction of what you do not want..."  is just so significant. 

In regard to money... as you stand at the juncture where you can fork in the direction of limitless supply of all the money you need or in the direction of determination to never be poor what road should you take?

It's like this:  Take the road of what you're for... not what you're against.  Are you for a limitless supply of money or are you against being poor?

Again... it's so important to understand the importance of the vibration you create.  If the road you're taking is for what you're against it creates a waaaaay different vibration than if you take the road of what you're for.

Nothing Can Grow Beyond Your Emotional Response

"In your moving yourself up the Emotional Scale, your business will begin to prosper in new and profound ways! Your business, your relationships, your finances cannot grow beyond your emotional response—nothing can grow beyond your emotional response. Everything matches your Set-point of emotions on every subject that exists."  ~ Expressed by Abraham-Hicks

Abraham makes such a huge important statement: "....your finances cannot grow beyond your emotional response- nothing can grow beyond your emotional response. Everything matches your Set-point of emotion on every subject that exists."

Take a moment to deeply exam your set-point of emotion (joy, fearful, anger, content...) on an area of your life that you are currently focusing on or are feeling stress over.  For example, in regard to your finances, when you think about them what do you truthfully feel in the inside?  Are you tight...do you hold your breath?  Or are you light, airy and relaxed?

What words come to mind?  Do you see 'fear', 'immature', 'ridiculous'?  Or do you see something  like 'possiblities', 'secure', 'solid'?

What images come into your mind?  Do you see scarcity, lack, holding on?  Or do you see abundance, freedom, no limits?

You can practially feel the vibrational differences in the words that I've written above can't you?  Remember... what you set your vibration at is the match that you will receive in return. So Abraham is right on when he says, "Nothing can grow beyond your emotional response."

If you set off a vibration of lack, scarcity and holding on you can only get back (or attract) lack, scarcity and holding on.

Abraham's point is... if you can move yourself up the emotional scale, in otherwords, when you can move your vibration up from one of slow, heavy and dragging to one of buzzy, light and tingling (from depression to joy) then you will begin to prosper.  You will absolutely positively get a match back to your vibration.  It's the law.  It cannot not happen.

If you're feeling stuck, frustrated, down, in a rut, same ol' same ol'.... about a particular topic in your life then it's time for some very deep introspection to work on moving yourself up the scale.  It may take days, weeks or months... but it's time to start doing some spring cleaning of the clutter in your mind and in your gut.

On the topic/area in your life that you are not creating a more than buzzy vibration then it's time to start peeling away some layers one at a time to work your way up that vibrational scale.  Just do ONE thing that will help raise your vibration even if it seems like a tiny baby step.  Even in just doing one small tiny thing you'll begin to feel the vibration shift.

Here's a good yet corny example.  I often have a low vibration about my personal appearance.  I know that it will take me months if not years to lose the weight that I would like to lose.  But, instead of letting that bum me out and get me down I took action last week to just do ONE tiny thing that I knew would make me feel better about my body and appearance right now and raise my vibration.

I dyed my hair red! Yeah baby!!!  I LOVE it!!  Suddenly and almost instantaneously I could feel my vibration increase.  So, you know what I did?  I decided to do one more tiny thing that I could do right now that would raise my vibration a teansy bit more.... I ran out and got some of those Crest whitening strips and for 10 straight days I used those strips... and every single day that my teeth got just a little bit whiter my vibration got a little bit higher. 

And, an interesting thing happened.  I began feeling so great with my big red hair and my pearly whites that that I began smiling so big that I started focusing on how happy I was feeling and would you believe I actually forgot about my butt trying to bust it's way out of my jeans.  And you know what happened?  I actually lost weight!  And to top it all off some other great things happend to me with my career.

What one tiny thing can you do right now that will start to raise your vibration in the area of your life that is bothering you? 

Maybe it's buying Looney Toons stamps to put on the envelopes of your bills... or washing your car.... or having a Cinnabon and not calling it wrong.

Or... here's a good one for ya... Let go and let God.

Manifest Like a Child

Have you ever noticed the keen ability that children have to manifest their desires?   Just take a look around their rooms.  Most children of the typical American family have just about everything they have wanted. 

Anisa Aven of CreataVision wrote in a recent post about how her daughter was begging her for a new toy and when Anisa told her no her daughter shreiked, "I want it! I want it!!" and so Anisa told her, "Well, then you better just manifest it sooner.".   To Anisa's surprise her sister, unaware of this conversation, showed up the next day with the very toy that her daughter was asking for.

That little story really got me thinking.  I have an 8 yr. old son and of course, being the child of a concious creator, he's well aware of the laws of manifesting abundance.  And, I began realizing that this little guy has manifested just about everything that he has wanted.  We, the parents, aren't just giving our kiddos what they want, we are the vehicles which give them the ability to receive their desires.  Our desires/their desires have to get here somehow.

But that got me thinking even more... isn't easy for children to manifest?  Again, just got take a look at a child's room.   

Children have the innate ability to dream big and to believe big.  But unfortunately by the time they've reached adulthood they've/we've been stripped of the ability to simply and purely manifeset. 

By the time we've reached adulthood we've been bombared with enough verbal garbage (often by dream stealers and joy robbers) which builds such thick layers of  'buts' and 'P.Ss' that the path between us and our desires is an almost impossible path to travel.

Children don't have all the layers of baggage that we adults do and they believe, in their innocence, so completely things to be true (like Santa Claus or monsters in the closet).  When it comes to manifesting they simply ask and it  is simply  given.  If you told a child they are going to be a millionaire they'd just simply believe it.  They woudn't question it, analyze it, scrutenize it or unload a bunch of, "I'm not good enough, I don't deserve it, That only happens to other people..." ... you get the picture.

So... the other day I printed out one of the checks from the universe for my son and I asked him what amount we should make the check out for.  First he said $100.  I told him he needed to not be afraid to ask big.  He then said $20,000,000.  And shame on me... in a split second I was ready to tell him, "Not that big!"... so shame on me some more I said, "Are you sure?" (as in... maybe it should be lower)... he lit up up and then said "$30 million!".  And before I could even blink he said, "No... make it $50 million!!!".   

Then I stopped and realized what I was thinking.  Of all people, who am I to keep this child from dreaming and believing HUGE.... just because I'm stuck on my own issues about the ability to manifest $20,30 or 50 million doesn't mean I need to become a dream stealer or joy robber for this little boy and then project that on to him. 

I wrote his check out for $50 mil and some change and then I asked him what date I should put on it.  He said, "Tomorrow!!" :-)  Gotta love it!!!

Anyway... my point is... if we could get back to the state and the pureness of a child void of all the buts and P.Ss....can you imagine how quickly you could manifest things?  But you say to yourself, "Ya, that would be nice if I had someone to buy me whatever I wanted."... but you know you do...in the words of Edwene Gaines, "You have a very rich Father.".

 

Dwell In Possibility

"Take your attention off of what is and put it on what you are wanting."
~ Expressed by Abraham-Hicks

Which is also eloquently said as:

"... remain focused on the TREASURE... not the TROUBLE" ~ ThinkTQ.com

Abraham also says this:  "Everything, without exception, comes only by your individual invitation to it. Do you understand the process of asking? When you give something your attention and it becomes your dominant vibration relative to the subject—that is your asking. So, deliberate creating is not so much about looking out into the world and saying, "Oh, there are things that are good that I want to create or attract into my experience, and there are things that are bad that I don't want to create or attract into my experience." Deliberate creating is more about deliberate allowing. Deliberate allowing is more like deliberate vibration." 

Let's read that second half of that quote again ...  "...So, deliberate creating is not so much about looking out into the world and saying, "Oh, there are things that are good that I want to create or attract into my experience, and there are things that are bad that I don't want to create or attract into my experience." Deliberate creating is more about deliberate allowing. Deliberate allowing is more like deliberate vibration."

Oooohhh that's deep stuff.

I find that the best way to shift to a state of deliberate allowing is to ask "What If" questions:

What if I were my ideal weight (or better)?
What if I were a millionaire?
What if I were a multimillionaire?
What if I could have my dream home?
What if I met my biggest goal?

Feel how your imagination just takes off in a positive direction.... feel the shift in energy...the shift in the vibration?   You can just feel the possibility ...can't you?!  The possibility feels so welcome.   When you welcome you alllow.  When you allow it's possible.

The Secret of The Secret

If in my own words I could tell you what the secret of the The Secret is it would be this:

...Believe...Know...Trust....

You CAN have WHATEVER you want

For that to happen you need to truly be able to say:

I am!  vs. I am?

I can!  vs  I can?

I will!  vs. I will?

me!  vs.  me?

For real!  vs  For real?

and when you find it difficult to move from doubt to belief you need to shift your vibrational energy from one of blocking to one of allowing:

I'll probably never be thin again   -to-   What if I were thin again?

Me make a milllion dollars?   -to-   What if I could easily make a million dollars?

My dreams just seem so far away  - to -  What if they were really close?

Would be nice if I met that perfect someone  -to -  What would it be like if...?

Can't you just feel the shift in the energy?

Close Dream - Far Away Dream

An interesting thing happened over the past couple of days and I wanted to share my observations about it.  My apologies ahead of time if this post is a bunch of ramblings about personal self thoughts but I thought I should share this and perhaps in doing so I might learn something more about it and so might you.

If you've been reading along the last several months I have talked a lot about getting rid of your buts and your P.S's.  I've also talked a lot about the power of truly believing that your dreams/desires/aspirations can come true.

I swear I practice all there is to know about the laws of attraction and manifesting abundance and just when I think I have a really good handle on it something pops up to show me that I'm still lacking in certain areas.

So, here's what happened this week:  I was scouring the job boards looking for a job or new client in the event that one of my newest job prospects did not pan out as I had hoped.  I stumbled across a job posting for an e-Commerce Director and as I read the job description for the ideal candidate I began getting giddy with excitement.  This job description nailed me to a "T".  It might as well have said, "... and your name must be Darcy Hoag".  And, the coolest thing was that the salary it listed said it paid between $90,000-$110,000 a year.  Wow!  I could certainly live with that!!!

I quickly blasted off my resume and within a few hours I got a response back from the recruiter who wanted to set up an interview with me the very next day.  My initial interveiw with her was nothing short of fantastic.  She told me that she would be setting up an interview with the HR person of the company for the following day.

An interesting thing happened in those 24 hours in between interveiws.  I was glad to see that the but's and P.S's that would have used to come up didn't ...such as (just to give you an example of the old me):

There's no way you'd be hired making that kind of money.
For that kind of money surely you're totally underqualified.
What if you got hired and then couldn't handle the job?
They'll never hire you if they see that you're overweight.
Yadda. Yadda. Yadda.

... well I had a couple of but and P.S's but not the usual  sixty zillion that run twenty layers deep... but the best thing that happened was that this job was actually within the realm of possiblity for me.  I mean.. lil' ol' me could actually be bankrollin' $100,000 a year.  Wow!  My brain went into absolute manic visualization mode of what I would/could do with that kind of income.

I sat on the back porch that night for close to 3 hours just visualizing away.  I pictured all the things that I would buy for my house, paying my vehicle off and buying a new one paid in cash, I pictured my husband being able to stay at home and pursue his dreams, I pictured how I would carry $100 bucks on me instead of a wad of damp crumpled up dollar bills in my back pocket... and most of all I pictured me and my family being able to take a huge deep breath and just exhaling in relaxing comfort knowing that the struggle was finally over.  I imagined and truly felt how incredible the feeling of having such a heavy burden lifted felt.   Aaaaaaaaaaaahh... it felt soooooooo great!!  I felt the sweet  and beautiful freedom of finally being released from years of tight restraints.  I felt light and overwhelmed with a feeling of relaxed content and self-pride knowing that... I made it.

The feelings I experienced were so real and so intense... as if I had really and truly already achieved my dream of having a significant income.

Then, I noticed something...

If you're like me then you have probaby read/heard over and over that when you visualize your desires that you must believe/act such that you have already achieved it.  As a matter of fact, Edwene Gaines in her book, The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity states it this way:

"Act as if you have already achieved your goals.  Belive that you receive.  Acting with confidence and faith in yourself and your potential sends a powerful message to the universe.  Accept your success right now.  Don't wait until you have actually achieved results.  Act as if.  ...radiating confidence in your ability to achieve them [dreams] will catapult you forward in your journey."

I've heard this over and over again of how important it is to do this but I realized that I don't do this step.  Why???  Because until recently I never really honestly believed that I could obtain my biggest and wildest dreams.  Sure I could visualize what it would be like to obtain them and entertain fun thoughts about them but they were always accompanied by those sixty zillion but's and P.S's twenty layers deep.

So what made this particular experience of mine so different for me?  One is is that I've been really working on removing the but's and P.S's... and having all those but's and P.S's out of the way makes that line between me and my dreams sooooooooooo much shorter.... thus making my dream that much closer... so close that I could actually taste it... so close that it felt for REAL... so close that I could actually feel what it felt like to have already achieved it.

So... what this little lesson reveals for me is the power of truly believing that you can have any dream you desire but on top of that the power of truly acting as if...as if you've already achieved it can have on your vibrational field.

And the secret to be able to do that is removing all (or as many as possible) the but's and P.S's that cause all that interference between you and your desires... so that the distance between you and your desires is short, free and clear. Here's my graphic again illustrating this point just in case you forgot or haven't seen it before:   

So..... can you see how if you removed the but's and P.S's how much shorter the line is between you and your desires?   See how it makes it so much easier to really FEEL the reality of it having been achieved when it is so much closer to you than sooooo far away. 

It's kind of like this analogy: 

Imagine if you held your hand 6 feet above the flame of a candle...  Even though you can't feel it you believe it's there because you can see it.   But, if you were blindfolded and someone told you that you had your hand over a flame you might not believe them because not only could you not see the flame you could also not feel it.  But, the closer you get your hand to that flame you begin to feel it ... it's hot, it's hotter, it's burning, it's burning on fire!!  There's certainly no denying the fact that you can truly feel it and believe that there is in fact a flame! 

Bear with me on this one... I know it's not making sense yet...

What I'm trying to illustrate is that sometimes our dreams seem so far away that as a result we can't actually feel them... sometimes there's so much interference in the way that we can't even hardly see them... which makes believing that they've already happened, much less really possible, absolutely impossible.

This was such a valuable lesson for me.  I truly truly see  what the power of believing that you have already achieved can have on manifestation.  I see even more so the significance of removing the but's and P.S's to give you the ability to be able to feel it and see it to the point of believability.

Bring your dreams close to you so you can feel them.

So.. by this point you may be wondering... did I get the job?

Nope.  But look at the invaluable lesson that I learned as a result... and boy what fun my brain had imagining all that great stuff I'd do with my $100,000!!!

If There Were Ever a Time To Dare

Have I Got a Deal for You!

Imagine: it’s late at night. You turn on the television and find yourself tuned into the shopping channel. Art Slater, master salesman, is staring you in the face with his infamous mischievous look.

Art leans into the camera for a full face shot, points his finger right at you and looking like a mockery of “Uncle Sam,” says:

Interested in unworthiness?

Listen to this folks: if you like work, you’re going to love unworthiness! Nothing takes more work! Unworthiness is pure survival! It’s utterly exhausting. It takes so much mental strength to maintain a sense of unworthiness that’s you’ll be left absolutely shattered, every single day of your life!

So, what do you say folks? Interested in unworthiness?

Well, hold on to your hats ‘cause there’s more…Oh yes! With unworthiness, you get to worry. You get to stress. You get to feel like a spring wound so tight that if you let go you’ll bust the planet.

And here’s the best part…you can be unworthy just like that—snap your fingers folks! It’s just that easy. In fact, most veterans of unworthiness will tell you that all it takes is maybe one or two small life experiences to feel absolutely crushed and useless…and hold on…for the rest of your life! That’s right folks! Once you get a hold of unworthiness, you can feel unworthy for years, decades, even an entire century!

Okay, okay, I know what you’re thinking…with so many bonuses included with unworthiness, who wouldn’t want it? You’re absolutely right! Recent statistics show that 80% of all people feel unworthy. Well, let me tell you something. In my experience, it’s more like 99%. Unworthiness is one hot ticket item! Everybody’s doing it! If you’re not feeling unworthy, you are truly missing out!

Now, I could stop right here knowing you’re already sold on unworthiness, but I want you to be absolutely sure about your decision to live in hell. So, I’m going to tell you about all the extras that make unworthiness a truly unbelievable deal!

First, you’ll never be good enough! For what you ask? For anything—no matter how hard you try! With unworthiness, you will always feel like you just can’t do a single thing right—is that not unbelievable?

You see, what unworthy people know is that there’s “special” people and “not special” people. There’s no in between. You’re either special or you’re; well, sort of damaged; something’s wrong with you. So, special people go through life catching the breaks, and unworthy people take one step forward only to be thrown three steps back.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. You’re going to say, “Hey, wait a minute there Art, what’s all this talk about “special” and “not so special” people. I mean, the universe is good. The universe is everyone. Therefore, everyone is good.”

Hey, listen, folks: when you’re unworthy you don’t have to burden yourself with stuff like truth. Not at all! You get to be so completely blinded by a constant struggle to survive and protect yourself that you won’t see anything but personal failings!

And let me tell you this…Do you like purpose? If so, you’ll really go for unworthiness, because when you’re unworthy, you know exactly what your purpose in life is: struggle! That’s your lot in life!

Now, you might be thinking, “Hey, Art, maybe I’m already unworthy? How do I know?” Good question! That’s easy. You see, early in your life someone flat out tells you! That’s right! It’s just that simple. Someone clearly tells you’re not doing things right or they abandon, reject or ignore you. In some way, it’s made very clear that you’re not important and should not express yourself…lest you make a complete and utter mess of things!

Okay, you’re asking, “Why would anyone believe all this?” Oh, I’m glad you asked this. The answer reveals another whopping bonus to being unworthy—others opinions are the only opinions that count. Unworthy people don’t have opinions! They have to earn the right to ask for what they want, speak their mind or express themselves.

Oh and here’s the best part …unworthy people eventually lose the desire to express themselves or completely forget how. They know they’ll only mess up if they do, and that means they’ll lose affection, attention and love!

Isn’t that amazing? Unworthy people get to spend the rest of their lives hiding, and disguising the fact that they’re not good enough, for fear of losing attention, affection and love!

Is unworthiness not the most unbelievable offer you have ever heard folks?

And get this : when you’re unworthy, you get to smile a lot—a great big, fake, “it pains me to do this” smile. Oh, and you’ll pick out your personality each morning like picking out your clothing. You’ll become an actor. You’ll play parts that please people. You see, being unworthy means keeping people happy so they don’t see the “real” you.

And that’s not all! Oh no! You get to constantly do for others, martyr yourself, sacrifice day in and day out, and then, be constantly reminded that others never do for you! And you can count on this! As an unworthy person, you’ll be a very well practiced actor. You’ll teach others how to treat you. You’ll teach others to take advantage of you all the time!

By choosing to be unworthy, you get to go through life second guessing everything you do! You’ll expend enormous amounts of energy calculating people’s reactions to your behavior and making constant people-pleasing adjustments!

(Art waves his hands in the air like an overzealous television evangelist…) You get to be a perfectionist! You get to place exceptional expectations on yourself! You get to feel angry for weeks, guilty for years and frustrated like nobody’s business! You get to work harder than anyone else just to maintain a pathetic level of goodness so no one is tempted to look at what lies beneath your mask!

Hallelujah!

And folks, I promise you, unworthiness will affect every area of your life! It’s the gift that just keeps on giving! If it’s a relationship you’re thinking about, forget it. You’ll run like fire from relationships! Because unworthy people know that if others get close, close to the “real” them, they’ll be disgusted, which inevitably means rejection—loss of affection, attention and love. And, if it’s success you’re thinking about, forget that too! You’ll be so tied in a knot that you’ll never enjoy success even if you ever do manage to attain it, which, let’s face it folks, is unlikely. You’ll either drive yourself into the ground with your constant “trying so hard,” or you’ll discover that you can avoid doing almost anything in life by being unworthy.

Imagine!

I have to say it again …(Art leans into the camera one more time and smiles…) Unworthiness is quite the deal!I wish I could give it away folks, but I can’t. You’ve gotta buy into it!

So, I’m going to make you the deal of a lifetime here, literally! Declare yourself unworthy, right now, and I promise you’ll feel horrible within the next fifteen minutes!

Hey, hey, hey, the phones are ringing off the hook!

Okay, I’ll go one step better! Declare yourself unworthy right now and I’ll also guarantee you struggle and promise you’ll attract one challenge after another in the days ahead!

(Art throws both hands in the air and laughs!) Folks, there is no easier way to screw up your entire life than by choosing to be unworthy! So, don’t delay! (Art moves in closer to the camera…) Just tell yourself you’re not good enough folks and watch the pain and misery start a rollin’ in!

What do you think? It doesn’t seem right somehow to poke fun at me…oopsy…did I say “me?” I guess I was a ring leader on the whole unworthiness thing. I did feel pretty bad about taking up space on the plant for almost 40 years, but what I meant to say was this: somehow it just doesn’t seem right to poke fun at unworthiness…or does it?

Isn’t something so utterly ridiculous laughable? I mean, unworthiness doesn’t make one bit of sense!

If the most talented salesperson in the world came up to you and tried to sell you unworthiness, and you were the most gullible person in the world, would you buy it? Is there even one thing about unworthiness that’s appealing? I don’t think so. And yet, 80% of us have bought into it and worse, we’re still paying for it every single day of our lives.

Listen, I realize there is no way to convince you that in the moment you declare yourself worthy—let go of your well practiced behaviors of self-betrayal, stop hiding your power, agree to honor your likes and interests and stop worrying about what others think—you’ll experience a shift in your energy such that joy will show up in your life and your true relationships will deepen.

I realize there is no way to convince you that the moment you declare yourself worthy new, more meaningful events, people and things will come into your life (rush into your life!) to replace all the unwanted garbage you outgrow and release.

So, I will say to you this: “You must decide for those beliefs that most benefit your life and then find your truth in doing—for it is in doing that we leap from rationality to understanding.” (Professional Dreamer, Pg. 279)

YOU MUST DECIDE …

YOU! No one else can do it for you.

MUST! You cannot function without belief and it makes darn little sense to decide for beliefs that harm your life when you can just as easily decide for beliefs that benefit your life.

DECIDE! Nothing happens until you decide. It’s all about choice! You are unique among all creatures. You can think and think about yourself thinking. You have…let me say this again…HAVE…the power to choose.

Choose.

Impossible vs. Unbelievable

Yesterday while I writing the 'Celebrity Debut' post I originally wrote: "Sometimes it seems impossible to see ourselves 'walking down the red carpet'."

Later I changed it to 'Sometimes it seems unbelievable to see ourselves walking down the red carpet.

It's because it's not that it's impossible to see ourselves "walking down the red carpet"... or "having a million dollars or "insert dream here"... because it is absolutely possible and actually quite easy to imagine/see it.   We certainly can fantasize away all day long.

However, where the dichotomy lies is in the believability of "walking down the red carpet'.  Sure you can imagine/see it... but do you believe it?  Does is seem unbelievable?

I think this is a huge block for many of us.  No problem imagining yourself having a million dollars or being a movie star.  We can easily imagine, think and see ourselves living our dreams.  But when it comes to actually believing it then there inlies the problem.  That is precisely when your "big ol' but" gets in the way.  (See post 'How Big is your But').

Like the example in the 'How Big is your But' post, it goes something like this:

(Darcy thinking/imagining) - "I just love my big fatabulous ranch house that my millions of dollars that I have earned from my web sites and fame have afforded me.  Look at the horses I could buy ~ see them running around my property with the mountains tucked snuggly against them.  How beautiful is the fire pit under the stars where me and my husband sit with our friends as we throw lavish 'just because' parties."

"BUT - That kind of stuff really only happens to other people.  It would be a miracle if I ever really did make millions of dollars.  It was meant to happen to other people and I should just be happy with what I have.  I'm not very good with money anyway so why would God entrust me with more than I could handle.  I'm stuck here just to continue to wish and fantasize about what it would be like.  If I tell the honest truth of it I actually feel envious of people that have made it.  Maybe my destiny is not to live that kind of life.  What if I'm stuck like this forever and all this prosperity stuff is just a bunch of crap."

What this realization reveals to me is this:

See how your 'buts' cause tremendous interference?  Do you see how if you stretched out the zig-zag line in the second example of how much longer it would take you to get to your desire?  Do you see how you cannot see your desire through the interference?  Do you see how your desire cannot see you through the interference?   Do you see how easy and simple it would be if you just removed the interference like in the first example?

So the believablity factor comes only when you can remove your 'buts'.  With any 'buts' , even just one little tiny one, you are simply in a state of disbelief and also, incidentally,  you are in a state of negation.  When you have a 'but' or a 'PS' , like I referred to in the 'How Big is Your But' post, you are actually negating everything that you are desiring and therefore the Universe cannot bring you what you want since by negating you have cleared it out of the cue.

I see clearly more clearly than ever the statement, "Believe, Know, Trust".... With the presence of any 'buts' whatsoever you are prolonging or even negating your desires altogether.  Then we sit there and wonder why it is that we can't seem to manifest anything.

So, most important to imagining your dreams is to actually BELIEVE on top of that that they can come true.  Yes, I know we all say that we believe it/they can come true.  But really... tell the honest to God truth... do you really?

And... maybe perhaps that is, in fact, the holy grail or the 'crossing over' that I referred to yesterday.
