Doesn't it ever seem like when 'the powers that be' need you to hear a message it comes at you from all angles? Sometimes do you even hear that big deep booming and resonating voice saying slowly, "Can you hear me now?"
Last week the repeated message seemed to be about 'detachment' and practicing the laws of detachment. It seemed like every book I opened or every newsletter I read or every quote I came across had to do with the message of detachment.
This week the theme/message seems to be, "Obtaining The Goal'. I was smacked upside the head today with a few 'messages'. I came across these passages that struck a chord in me today:
"A GOAL without a PLAN is merely a WISH without a HOPE."
This was followed by something else I read somewhere else today that said:
"There's not a single multi-millionaire on the planet that is living a fulfilling abundant life that got there by sitting on their manifesting couch." (from Anisa Aven's CreataVision Newsletter)
I am reminded that, "....you have to get up and get it". A lot of us spend far too much time (if not all of it) sitting on the manifesting couch just visualizing away. We may be well equipped with all the prosperity knowledge in the world to make every single dream and desire come true but if we just sit on our butts picturing it all day long it can't ever possibly come to fruition.
Here's a great little story I once heard by, rev. Bill Worth, that really illustrates this point:
There was this lady who was down on her knees begging and pleading, "God, please let me win the lottery.... please o please Lord let me win the lottery... you just gotta let me win the lottery." Every day this woman begged and pleaded and then finally at wits end God replied (in that big deep booming and resonating voice), "Geez lady, I'm doin' all I can here.... you've gotta give me a hand... go buy a dang lottery ticket!"
So the moral of this story is, "Get your butt up off the manifesting couch and go buy a dang 'lottery ticket' and... the 'big man upstairs' will give you a hand".
